ETHNOCULTURAL INTERPRETATION OF FAMILY CEREMONIES OF KHOREZM UZBEKS BASED ON RELIGIOUS AND NATIONAL VALUES

The article analyzes the family ceremonies of Khorezmian Uzbeks as an ethnocultural phenomenon based on the harmony of religious and national values. At the center of the research are Islamic norms, traces of ancient beliefs, kinship ties, the mahalla institution, the participation of elders (oqsoqollar) and respected women of the community (kayvonilar), ceremonial symbols, and folk aesthetic forms preserved in birth, cradle (beshik), circumcision (sunnat), marriage, and mourning ceremonies. It is substantiated that the historical and cultural uniqueness of the Khorezm oasis, along with the integration of ancient religious perceptions and Islamic values into the daily life of the people, have created a multi-layered semantic system in family ceremonies.
